What are the blocking options proposed by Orange Phone ?

Orange Phone app proposes many ways to block numbers on incoming calls to avoid the device to ring.

Block one single number

The easiest way is to block the number itself. Many methods for that:

• from the Recents, with a long click on the line and then "Block the number"
• from the card of this number (for instance opened from the Recents tab):
  • the link "Block this caller" in the card
  • the link "Block this caller" in the menu ... of the card
• from the menu Settings / Call blocking and reports / Blocking of numbers/countries / Block a number

Block a range of numbers

You can block a whole range of numbers based on the last 4 digits of these numbers.

Also many methods to configure this blocking option:

• from the card of a number (opened from the Recents tab):
  • the link "Block a range of numbers" in the menu ... of the card : the number appears as the beginning of the range (you can update it), and you need to enter the end of the range
• from the menu Settings / Call blocking and reports / Blocking of numbers/countries / Block a range of numbers, where you can choose the start and end of the range

Orange Phone can also propose you to block automatically a range once you block a second number from a same range.

Block a country

You can also block all numbers from a country (starting by a specific country code). this blocking option can be configured in the following way:

• from the card of a "foreign" number (from Recents):
  • the link "Block the country" in the menu ... of the card
• from the menu Settings / Call blocking and reports / Blocking of numbers/countries / Block a country/region : you can select all the country codes you want to block
• in the menu Settings / Call blocking and reports / Blocking of numbers/countries, you can also activate the option "Block all other countries/regions except mine" to reveive only calls from numbers of the same country as you.

Block anonymous calls

You can automatically block all the anonymous calls:

• from the menu Settings / Call blocking and reports / Blocking of hidden/unknown numbers, you can activate the option "Block anonymous calls"

Block unknown numbers

For Orange Phone, an unknown number in this block settings section is a number that is not in the local contacts of the device. In the menu Settings / Call blocking and reports / Blocking of hidden/unknown numbers, you can automatically block all incoming and/or outgoing calls when they are not part of the contacts or the favorites. 3 different blocking options can be activated for this.

Automatically block incoming spam calls

Orange Phone allows you to automatically block the spam numbers from the menu Settings / Call blocking and reports:

• block the numbers I reported as unwanted / telemarketing
• block the numbers unwanted / telemarketing known by our servers (*)

(*) This last blocking option is not proposed in France anymore (see here)
